Vincent Bugliosi "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder"
Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 09:49AM Scott Drake talks with renowned prosecutor and author Vincent Bugliosi about his new book...
The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder
"If Bush, in fact, intentionally misled this nation into war, what is the proper punishment for him? Since many Americans routinely want criminal defendants to be executed for murdering only one person, if we weren't speaking of the president of the United States as the defendant here, to discuss anything less than the death penalty for someone responsible for over 100,000 deaths would on its face seem ludicrous.** But we are dealing with the president of the United States here".

February 2003 along with millions worldwide I walked the sreets in protest of Bush's plan to invade Iraq. It was obvious to many that the Bush/Cheney administration had their own agenda. But sadly it was not obvious to the majority of Americans.
The Republicans used very sophisticated marketing strategies to sell their "war" and were able to create a climate of loyalty and patriotism, all under false pretenses. Even many liberal Democratic politicians were duped. So many were fearful, Since 2003 when I would voice my opinion that Bush was a murderer, I would be told not to say that out loud. My friends were genuinely concerned for my safety. You would have thought we lived in communist China.
I am a 52 year old white woman who did not support Hillary Clinton for president because she voted in support of the Iraq war resolution. She now has an opportunity to redeem herself by joining this cause. She would be perfect. She's brilliant, fiesty, brave and has the stamina to take this on.
She endured the Ken Starr investigations and probably knows better than anyone how this process works.
I urge Hillary Clinton to join forces with Vincent Bugliosi to bring Bush and his cronies to justice.
I threw together a wordle for the now infamous October 7th speech. Scary stuff, especially when you consider what the president actually knew to be the case
Your book has inspired me to write the following poem which is a commemoration to our American Veterans who have and are continuing to sacrifice their lives in the service of our nation.
OH VETERAN MY VETERAN!
By Ermanno Barone
Oh Veteran my Veteran, why did you sacrifice?
To protect the freedoms in our land?
To bring Liberty and peace of mind?
To spread Democracy where there was none?
To write, to read, to think, to speak, without fear?
To worship Whomever and wherever we hold dear?
For these freedoms, you died gloriously.
We shall never forget.
So let it be known, so let it be said,
Because of you and what you sacrificed,
Our country and our liberties have survived.
Oh Veteran my Veteran, what did you sacrifice?
Was it your sight, your limbs, your life, your youth, your mind?
A shrapnel wound pierce your weakened arm?
A wayward bullet collapse your lung?
What happened to your crippled hand?
Oh Veteran my Veteran, where did you meet our foe?
Where did you face your fearful first fight?
The bayonet charge, the sniper's shot at night,
The cannon's blast,
Is that what tore your limbs apart? Remember speaking
of a fallen comrade, writhing with pain,
Prostrate, on that sacred ground laying,
Watching his guts oozing out from a stomach wound
Until he died? Oh horrid sight!
These painful echoes you can still find
Ringing through the troubled corridors of your mind.
.
Oh Veteran my Veteran where did you sacrifice?
Was it in Normandy you saw those morbid scenes?
Or on another forlorn shore?
On desert sands? Perhaps in a dense, pest
Infested, vermin crawling rainforest?
Was it is Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq?
Is Iran the next planned attach?
Oh Veteran my Veteran heed me now! Our country
Needs your patriotism, your loyalty, your courage and your strength.
Have you not heard, my valiant friend?
There's trouble in our own land.
Our freedoms are being threatened.
Our Congress has been bought,
There's neither honor, nor loyalty in their thought.
Our leaders condescend.
They sell their souls, betraying us to a foreign Head.
Their idealism is dead.
Our media too has betrayed our trust
And gloat in the blood
Of freedom you once shed.
Oh Veteran my Veteran, you have done your part.
So quietly, so bravely you paid the price willingly.
"Demand of me all that I have to give
And while I live, I too will give it gladly."
Oh Veteran my Veteran....our country calls you now.
Mobilize those sacred principles we once moved
Heaven and Earth to secure and make us great.
We must preserve those cherished values, our way of life.
Isn't it ironic? There's no enemy from without,
We are threatened from within.
We need your bravery here at home, now, to help us win,
Or all you sacrificed for, will have been in vain.
