It does an attorney no good to create a great looking video only to have it watched only a handful of times over the course of a year. The key is getting your video production company to know how to distribute your video and optimize it for the search engines so you will be found.

I really like tip #2: The road show. "We're coming to a city near you on the following dates..."

Tip #3: Some video companies say "We'll make the video for you but you have to put it on your own website and blog, and you have to upload it to the video sharing sites as well- all on your own."

There should be Tip#4: Make sure the video production company you use does not use a 'cookie-cutter' format that they use for every attorney, where they simply fill in the blanks with your video, and insert B-roll footage at the same point in every video.

I'm glad to see a blog post that is spot on in every aspect.

Floyd Hampton comments on John Ensign and Cindy Hampton photo, an example in web search games.

Thank you for finding and posting the photo.. My wife of 42 years, Cynthia, was so upset at the initial "Ensign"disclosures in Nevada and then nationally, that she contacted a local TV station and did an interview with them to assert that the Cynthia Hampton in question was not her. Last month an insurer sent the structure funding check out in one FEDEX and the
documents out in a separate FEDEX letter. The idea of pulling out and sending American soldiers and their families in their place is beyond noble. Unfortunately, we both know that the home office of AIGAG isn't exactly the Mensa society and now, they have a PR nightmare on their hands. Even worse, these guys are going to proceed with an even BIGGER sales event this Monday in Atlanta, Georgia. FSC Securities, another AIG subsidiary will begin a five day conference at the Marriott Marquis hotel that will cost even more than the California event. The management at AIG just does not get it, they are disgraceful, and I am beyond furious that my tax money is being used by these miscreants!

The LBN Team comments on Legal Marketing, a great oxymoron.

Cindy,
Thanks for your feed back and opinions. It's nice to see someone in the industry who agrees that you don't totally abandon traditonal marketing tools, but that lawyers must embrace some of these new options in order to create a more effective and lasting program that actually reaches their clients where their clients are looking for them, the internet!
